HiringAgent ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our resume screening tool at hiringagent.app (the "Service").

2. No Data Collection or Uploads

HiringAgent is fundamentally designed for privacy. We do not:

  • Upload your files to any server.
  • Store your resume or job description data.
  • Log or retain any document content.
  • Share your data with third parties.
  • Use your data for training machine learning models.

All file parsing and text extraction happens locally in your browser using client-side processing.

3. What Information We Process

When you use the AI scoring feature, extracted text from your resume and job description is sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter / OpenAI) for semantic matching. We only transmit the minimal text content necessary for processing. Neither we nor our AI providers store or use your data for training purposes.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to manage session quotas (free tier usage limits) and your payment status. No cookies are used for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on the following third-party providers:

  • OpenRouter / OpenAI — AI-powered text analysis for resume scoring and job description extraction.
  • Creem — Payment processing for premium plans.

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We recommend reviewing them independently.

6. Data Security

Because your files are processed entirely in-browser and we maintain no server-side storage of document content, there is essentially no risk of a data breach exposing your resumes or job descriptions. API communications with AI providers are encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store your personal data, there is no data for you to access, correct, or request deletion of. You retain full control of all documents on your own device at all times.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
