1. Overview

HiringAgent ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our hiring tool at hiringagent.app (the "Service").

2. What We Upload and Store

HiringAgent parses your resume files in your browser. We do not:

• Upload your original resume or job description files to any server.
• Sell your data or share it for advertising.
• Use your data for training machine learning models.

All file parsing and text extraction happens locally in your browser using client-side processing. To analyse a task, the extracted text — the plain text read from your files — is sent to our AI provider and handled as described in sections 3 and 6 below.

3. What We Process and How Long We Keep It

When you use the AI analysis feature, extracted text from your resume and job description is sent to our AI provider (Vercel AI Gateway / OpenAI) for semantic matching. We transmit only the text content necessary for processing, and we do not use your data to train machine learning models.

How long that extracted text is kept depends on how you use HiringAgent:

• Signed in — the extracted text is stored with the hiring task so you can reopen candidates and re-run scoring without uploading again. It is deleted when you delete the task (section 7).
• Anonymous — the extracted text is not written to our database. It is kept only transiently, long enough to analyse the task, and automatically expires within 24 hours. It is discarded sooner if you delete the task or your session ends.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to manage session quotas (free tier usage limits) and your payment status. We also use Google Analytics to understand page visits and a limited set of product interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser identifiers. We do not send resume text, job descriptions, file names, candidate names, email addresses, or payment identifiers in analytics events.

5. Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on the following third-party providers:

• Vercel AI Gateway / OpenAI — AI-powered text analysis for candidate evaluation and job description extraction.
• Creem — Payment processing for premium plans.
• Google Analytics — Aggregated website traffic and product usage measurement.

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We recommend reviewing them independently.

6. Data Security

Your original files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. Extracted text is held only as described above, and all communication with our AI providers is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Stored extracted text is removed when you delete the task (signed-in users) or automatically expires (anonymous sessions).

7. Your Rights and Deletion

You stay in control of your data. Because your original files are parsed in your browser and never uploaded, there is nothing for us to hand back or delete on your behalf for those files. For the extracted text we may hold:

• Signed in — use "Delete task data" in Settings to permanently remove a task and everything attached to it: extracted text, candidates, evaluations, shortlist, interview plans, agent messages and the analysis job. This takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
• Anonymous — extracted text is not written to our database and expires on its own within 24 hours, or as soon as the session ends.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
